Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is critical to effective ministry, yet it is one of the least understood and discussed aspects of human relations. Author T.J. Addington defines EQ this way:
“Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand ourselves, to know what drives us, to accurately understand how we are perceived by others, to understand how we relate to others, and to control our emotions in healthy ways. EQ measures whether we have the relational skills to work synergistically with others while holding a personal position on a matter and whether we allow others to speak into our lives or our work without defensiveness.”
This class will focus on increasing our EQ via four core EQ skills that enable us to achieve our fullest potential:
3) Social Awareness
4) Relationship Management
